 Communism has arrived in Amerika! The American Communist Party in the House has past their power grab of another 18% of the economy. This brings the total to 48% of the economy under the control of the Fascists in Washington D.C. That my dear friends is the end of America as we know it. We are all slaves to the Commies. They were told in no un certain terms to keep their stinking rotten hands off of our healthcare and they chose to ignore us. They are now making us pay for abortion, illegal immigrant healthcare and every other bottom feeder they can give it to. When do we say is enough and take this country back?

A Defense of Liberty Against Tyrants (1579)

Stephen Junius Brutus [Translated anonymously from the latin, 1648. Spelling and punctuation have been modernized.] OBEDIENCE TO PRINCES OR TO GOD? This question happily may seem at the first view to be altogether superfluous and unprofitable, for that it seems to make a doubt of an axiom always held infallible among Christians, confirmed by many testimonies in Holy Scripture, divers examples of the histories of all ages, and by the death of all the holy martyrs. For it may be well demanded why Christians have endured so many afflictions, but that they were always persuaded that God must be obeyed simply and absolutely, and kings with this exception, that they command not that which is repugnant to the law of God. Otherwise, why should the apostles have answered, that God must rather be obeyed than men, and also seeing that the only will of God is always just, and that of men may be, and is, oftentimes unjust, who can doubt but that we must always obey God's commandments without any exception, and men's ever with limitation? |

I originally published this column back in January of 2005. Since then (and especially lately), many people have called and written with requests to republish it. So, with a few minor revisions, here it is.
More than thirty years as a student of American history, constitutional government, and the Holy Bible leads me to the conviction that the two major political parties in this country (at the national level) are equally culpable in stripping America of its founding principles. In my opinion, both the Democrat and Republican parties in Washington, D.C., have zero fidelity to the U.S. Constitution and zero respect for America's foundational precepts.
