Why Kids Don't Do Well in School
Written by Pyllis Schlafly

Let me share with you an interesting article from the Washington Post about the teacher of an all-black class in a high school in Alexandria, Virginia, who expressed his frustration at how poorly the students were performing. The class included both native-born African-Americans and kids who had immigrated from Africa.

In a moment of exasperation, the teacher blurted out this question to the native-born students: "Why don't you guys study like the kids from Africa?" One of them shot back the answer.

The kid replied, "It's because they have fathers who kick their butts and make them study." Another student called out: "Ask the class, just ask how many of us have our fathers living with us."

CPOMA Needs Your Help
Written by Bob Picard

Dear Fellow Constitutionalists:

As we begin the new year we must also look back at the past year, namely the Presidency of Barack Hussein Obama. Though most of us realize that in the name of “change,” his administration has continued, and increased, virtually the same policies as the last three Presidential administrations.

It does appear, however, that the American people actually desire real change. They, like us, can see the need for a genuine third party presence in 2010.

That’s where the Constitution Party comes in. Though we are just a small group here in Massachusetts, we can make a difference.

There is one big problem:

We need more visibility. We need to have our lights shining into the darkness of the current political scene. Yes, it starts with you and me.

I believe we are on the verge of this political awakening, and need you to help out. How? I’m glad you asked; and let me explain.

By writing. We need people to write articles pertaining to the current climate. Though some of us have spoken about this in the past, it’s time to rise up. If you have a particular field of expertise, you can share your own story of how you are affected (as well as effected) by the happenings around you.

Please email any stories to Rich Selfridge, or myself, Bob Picard.

By giving. We have been in contact with the folks at WVNE in Worcester. If you aren’t familiar with WVNE (760 AM on the radio dial), it is an AM radio station, with a very good coverage area, spanning most of Massachusetts, as well as southern New Hampshire, Northern Connecticut and Rhode Island. WVNE has a conservative Christian audience, which I believe has the potential to hear our true conservative message.

Best of all, their advertising rates are very affordable. I believe if we can pull together and raise enough funds, we can exponentially
raise the awareness and education of John Q. Public (in my one on one dealings, I’ve found that people are definitely questioning things and do indeed listen to our message).

For $200 (the minimum order) we can run 16 - 30 second spots, or 11 - 60 second spots. These commercials were recorded by Mary Starrett and are very well done. (Mary Starrett is the communications director of the Constitution Party). Of course we could also record our own commercials as well.

In conclusion. This is something we ask you to strongly consider supporting. If we, through this effort, were able to wake up just one “Thomas Jefferson” in this area, our reward would be much more than our cost.

Donations can be made via the website, http://www.cpoma.org

On the site you'll find a "Chipin" widget, which makes giving very convenient. Also, you can see the progress of this effort.
Alternatively you can directly use PayPal. Be sure to make your payments to the following address: This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

Thankyou for you consideration
